You can find this puzzle piece midair at the top of the balloon. On the fourth checkpoint, the one where you encounter some logs, the puzzle piece is located in the vertical log on the side. On the fifth checkpoint, where a huge robot appears with a watering can, the bot is located inside one of the lotuses. Get an exclusive inside look into how this innovative PS VR game was designed. Turn your Dualshock 4 wireless controller into a variety of on-screen devices to help Astro, from a hook shot and water cannon, to slingshots and deadly ninja stars. Everything glistens with the technology-based gleam that has come to be expected of the Astro world.
Astro Bot[a] is a 2024 platform game developed by Team Asobi and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 5 in celebration of PlayStation’s 30th anniversary. A follow-up to Astro’s Playroom (2020), it is the fifth game in the Astro Bot series and Team Asobi’s first game since its separation from Japan Studio. Dream Traveler is the second bot found in Balloon Breeze and is inspired by Klonoa, the main protagonist from the Klonoa series.
Astro Bot Winter Wonder Bots & Presents Locations
This extends to the level’s unique Bots, which are all God of War characters with additional quirks and inside jokes that fans will get. It seems odd to say I don’t want to spoil a game that effectively has no story, but some of the game’s best secrets really must be discovered with your own eyes. These special levels arrive toward the end of each galaxy’s main mission path and bestow to you a bundle of themed bots as well as yet another cool new mechanic not to be seen ever again in the game. Its soundtrack–already an array of bubbly earworms–reimagines familiar overtures from other games.

Even powers from previous Astro adventures are reinvented to great effect. For example, the Monkey Climber is an evolution of Playroom’s climbing ability, but the assistance of a small robotic ape with huge hands this time means rocks can be hurled and ground pounded to great delight. Laurels are never rested on either, with new ideas and gadgets introduced right up to the final encore. Although some mechanics are reused a little more than I’d like, when such powers are recycled in later levels they’re thankfully recontextualised and given slightly new uses. If 2020’s Astro’s Playroom was like a museum – albeit one with fun playable exhibits – Astro Bot is like a theme park, throwing a new thrill at you around every corner and after every double-jumped gap.
Once you have unlocked Crash Bandicoot Special Bot and its unique cosmetic from the Gatcha Lab (Protective Spirit), find Crash at your Crash site. To unlock the Royally Stuck trophy you need to first collect The Prince Special Bot (aka Katamari Damacy) on Downsize Surprise world in the Tentacle System. King888 is to unlock the Rolling Star Gatcha Collectible from the Gatcha Lab. Look for Kratos Bot and Thor Bot near the bridge that leads to the Jungle Temple at your Crash Site (northwest of the crashed Mothership). Kratos Bot will hit Thor with his axe, freezing him into a cube!
Later updates introduced four Special Bots to Astro’s Playroom, who can be saved and transferred to Astro Bot. A release party also took place in-game, where Bots celebrated upon the game’s release. As for the is-it-fun thing, Astro Bot’s solution is even more winning. But what I really love about Astro Bot is that it’s also just filled with bits and pieces. Stuff to roll around in, stuff that forms little piles that can be kicked about.
